Faithful Slave chosen in 1874
by Ultimate Reality inas further proof that the 'slave's' appointment taking place in 1918/1919 is a bunch of non-sense and internally inconsistent with the society's own claims, they (that is, what became the slave) did not even know they were appointed in 1919. in the early 1920's, they thought russell was the slave and that he had been appointed by christ (as added proof of his heavenly presence) in the 1870s.. from the harp of god, chapter 9, (1921 edition):.
"...we mark a wonderful fulfillment of this statement of the lord as further corroborative proof of the lord's second presence from 1874 forward.
he had said, in answer to the question relative to his second presence: "who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

JC meeting - Someone Explain Kingdom established on Pentecost
by In inat one point in the jc recording, the "apostate" (i think his name is rick) states that the kingdom was established on pentecost, based on mark 9 where jesus says "i tell you some standing here will not taste death until they see the kingdom coming.".
the elders say this was the transfiguration.
rick states jesus didn't say it would be a vision; the transfiguration was a vision.. can someone please elaborate on this idea with scriptures?.

by Ultimate Reality inhey everyone,.
i am writing an important letter to my family and i would like to get a full page scan with the famous 'chart' of jehovah down to the local rank & file.. i am hoping that the chart and the infamous, "it is a theocratic organization, ruled from the divine top down, and not from the rank and file up.
", are on the same page.

Searching for Yearbook Quote 1939
by Ultimate Reality ini am searching for a scanned page from the 1939 yearbook.
i think it is on or around page 32. the paragraph mentions how they are not seeking to gather men into an organization, and it discredits the concept of salvation by means of a religious organization.
if any one has this, your posting would be greatly appreciated.. .

An analysis of scriptures regarding Jerusalem's servitude to Babylon
by sd-7 inthe issues about this have been beaten to death.
i spent my whole commute to work trying to ponder the scriptures involved, especially remember one of those sites, i think it was jehovahs-judgment.co.uk or something that had this discussion of the scriptures and how all of it supports 607 b.c.e.
i felt ill-equipped to discuss the issues without reading pertinent scriptures myself.

A couple of things from "Revelation: Four Views: A Parallel Commentary", Steve Gregg
by Doug Mason inin his book, revelation: four views: a parallel commentary, steve gregg provides parallel readings from recognised historicist, preterist, futurist and spiritual commentaries for each passage of revelation.
makes interesting reading.. i noticed that one of the many commentaries gregg refers to is: the parousia: a critical inquiry into the new testament doctrine of our lords second coming by james stewart russell (published 1887).
i found that this book may be downloaded at a preterist site: http://www.preteristarchive.com/books/pdf/1878_russell_parousia_1st-ed.pdf.

The Parousia by James S. Russell and a different view of Revelation
by Ultimate Reality inmany who hear about the "preterist" point of view become confused since thoughts often run to the idea that all bible prophecy has been fulfilled--for many this cannot be reconciled.
for the average witness, we have never even been exposed to a different view on bible interpretation.
indeed, the watchtower view of revelation and bible prophecy is that most everything in the bible applies now, to our special time since 1914, with the end of the system of things and the great tribulation right around the corner.. however, where does the concept originate that matthew the 24th chapter has a secondary fulfillment beyond 70ce?
